Learn new skills or come to refresh with studies in proportions, composition,
tonal values and perspective using a variety of mediums. Bring your talent
and any drawing materials you have.
Instructor: Carol PillarDrawing for Kids, 9 to 14 yrs, $170, supplies incl.8 weeks, beginning Saturday, January 22nd, 9:45 to 11:30 a.m.
Practicing with a variety of subjects, students will develop their drawing skills and
have fun with pencil, conte, charcoal and pastels

Class fee is $150 for 6 classes. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash or cheque can be accepted.
Payment must be made no later than the first class.
Space is limited so reserve your spot in class early.
First Session Beginner Class - New students will learn the basics of metalsmithing. You will design pendants, pins or earrings and complete at least one project using copper and/or Sterling silver. Additional
projects may be added if time permits. Use of class tools and some
basic materials will be provided. The purchase of additional items may
be required based upon your own personal design choices. You can
purchase supplies from local companies, internet sites (a list of
suppliers will be provided at the first class) or from the teacher's
supplies.
Second Session Class - Basic bezel settings - Continuing students will
learn how to create bezel settings. Soldering skills will be covered
and you will complete at least one project in Sterling silver.
Additional projects may be added if time permits. Use of class tools
and some basic materials will be provided. The purchase of additional
items may be required based upon your own personal design choices. You
can purchase supplies from local companies, internet sites or from the
teacher's supplies.
Intermediate - Open Studio - Returning students topics will change with each session.
This
session topic is chasing & repousse. Students will learn how about
the tools and techniques involved and create at least one jewelry item
while refining their other skills. Students are encouraged to use their own creativity and begin designing their own unique work. Projects can be provided for those who’s creative juices need more time to flow.
The
class fee will cover the use of tools and other equipment in class.
During the course of the class, you will need to purchase additional
materials based upon your own personal design choices.
